Kian Tajbakhsh, an Iranian-American scholar, a former political prisoner released as part of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, a visiting professor of International Relations at New York University, and a fellow on the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University joined NTD’s Steve Lance.

Tajbakhsh discussed how Israel is now initiating peace talks with Lebanon, how it affects the stability of the ceasefire with Iran, and the U.S. influence on the initiative.

Tajbakhsh also discussed White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s response to a reporter’s remarks that the U.S. cannot have the moral high ground because of President Donald Trump’s threats to Iran, and how Americans can discern when the media is repeating Iranian propaganda.

He also discussed Trump’s comments on how the Iranians are asking the U.S. to continue bombing, how some Iranians are celebrating the ceasefire, and what the remaining leadership in Iran’s Islamist regime may be thinking.
